maddison litvinenko-schmitt is an interdisciplinary performance creator, who lives with their husband, 2 cats, mother, and grandfather, here in Tiohtià:ke. A 2-Spirit, Red River Michif citizen, raised with their settler family, they are honoured to be currently on tour in Infinithéâtre’s Louis Riel: A Comic Strip Stage Play. maddi holds a BPA(‘14), from Capilano University, on the unceded territory of the Squamish, Tsleil-Waututh, Musqueam, Lil'wat and Sechelt (shíshálh) Nations, as well as a BFA from Concordia in Performance Creation(‘23). An INDI MA 2nd-year student, their research-creation work aims to mobilize awareness of urban 2-Spirit, BIPOC, queer and/or migrant populations.
